Gifts For Ultimate Self Care
Mother’s Day is quickly approaching, which means it’s time to get started on your search for the perfect gifts to celebrate the amazing women in your life. Whether you’re shopping for your mom, your aunt, your grandma or any motherly figure in-between, your gift doesn’t have to be over-the-top to let them know just how much you appreciate them (though let’s be honest, they deserve the world).
This is a guide for the mom who loves to indulge in self-care and these are some Mother’s Day gifts that she’ll be sure to love.
1. Coffee and Coffee Supplies
There’s something about that first drop of coffee hitting your lips first thing in the morning it the best way for a mom to start her day for self care. Coffee and it’s dopamine-releasing properties, ultimately, makes us feel happier because it is able to tap into virtually every reward system our brain has evolved. Coffee and coffee supplies are always good gifts to get mom. Click here for my favorite kind of coffee. Click the images below to purchase cups.
2. Hemp Lotion
Hemp lotion is my go-to for stress relief and ultimate self-care. If you are buying for that special mom in your life, this is definitely on the top of my list. You can rub it on your shoulders to help relieve stress-causing tension, it is great to put on your back for cramp pains, it gives instant relief for dry hands, and you can also rub it on sore muscles after a workout. It is infused with essential oils and designed to provide relief for joints and sensitive skin. The essential oil blend includes lavender for calming aromatherapy and lemongrass for topical relief from aches and pains. You can click here for more info.
3. Epsom Salt
Nothing is better for ultimate self care than an Epsom salt bath. I think all moms can agree that this helps alleviate stress and pain and promotes a sense of calm right away. Some benefits include:
-
-
- Soothe the skin. Epsom salt bathwater can soften rough, dry skin, and exfoliate dead skin cells
- Reduce soreness and pain
- Reduce stress
- Promote foot health
- Exercise Performance and Recovery
-
4. Dry Shampoo
All moms need a good dry shampoo for the days we just don’t feel like doing our hair, which is most days. Having a good dry shampoo is essential for self care. You can click here to view my favorite dry shampoo.
5. Meal Replacement Shakes
Some days are busier than others, and you definitely don’t want the mom in your life to skip a meal. Nothing is worse than being a hangry mom! This will help with her self care routine when she is too busy, or too tired to make something for herself. Some of the benefits of my favorite meal replacement shake include:
-
- Controls hunger and cravings for hours
- Mood boosting vitamins
- Nutritionally complete
- Targets abdominal fat
- Digestive enzymes, pre & probiotics, and fiber for digestive support
- Plant-based protein
- Vegan, no soy, no dairy, no added sugar
6. A Cute Baseball Cap
Every mom needs a cute baseball cap. Especially on days when dry shampoo just isn’t working. A cute baseball cap will do the trick for saving time and helping with self care.
7. Face Wipes
Let’s face it, the last thing a busy mom wants to do is spend a lot of time cleaning her face. Face wipes are a moms best friend for ultimate self care.
8. A Great Multi-Vitamin
A great multi-vitamin is an absolute game-changer for any busy and tired mom. As moms, we’re always looking for ways to feel better, happier, healthier, and more energetic. If the mom in your life is struggling with energy, the answer to her mid-day slump might just be adding a mutli-vitamin to help her get through the day. This is my personal favorite multi-vitamin that is turning self care into a breeze. Some of the benefits include:
- Supports whole-body health at the cellular level
- Promotes improved cognition and overall brain health
- Increases energy production
- Easily absorbed for maximum results
9. A Good Book, Podcast, or T.V. Show
This is probably any busy moms favorite thing to do after a long and busy day. It is a major bonus if you offer to take the kids for a drive and give her some time to herself. A good book that I would recommend is Where The Crawdads Sing (it’s on my personal list right now). If the mom in your life doesn’t like books, I would suggest a podcast. Click here to learn more about my personal favorite podcast. You can also allow the mom in your life some time to watch her favorite t.v. show to allow some time for self care.
10. Get Outside
As simple as it sounds, tell the mom in your life to get outside and go for a family walk together. Vitamin D from the sun is known to elevate mood as well as provide some exercise. This is a great way for self care and feeling better.
